Get access to your case: denial of asylum and trial

There are many reasons, when you have to go to court for a fair decision. One of these is appealing a refusal to grant asylum. (refugee status or subsidiary protection). Although in such cases a free lawyer is provided, who submits all documents, but is it also possible to personally access the case? Let's figure out.

Each person can file a complaint with the court independently, and through a legal representative (laws describe, who can be a representative[1]). But if you want to personally view procedural documents, then you can request access to the case in the system e.teismas.

However, asylum seekers are not able to access the traditional portal through the Electronic Gate. Instead, you need to get login information (username and password).

In what cases can you request this data?

  1. Your case should have already gone to trial.
  2. If you are just planning to file a complaint, access can be requested after registration.

Steps to access the case

  1. Fill out the application
    To request data you need to fill out a special application form. Its format is approved by order[2] Director of the Administration of National Courts (Annex 2). You can download the form from the link: Download the application form.
  2. Send a petition to the court
    Send your application to the court's email address, where is your case being heard?. Contact details can be found on the official websites of the courts.
  3. Get joining details
    Once your request has been reviewed, you will be invited to court to receive your login information.: username and password. With them you can join your account on the e.teismas portal.
  4. Report the data to the secretary of the judicial panel
    To make your case materials available in your account, give your login details to the secretary of the chairman of the judicial panel. If you don't know, who is this, send your request to the court's general email address.
