Since 8 June 2024 opening of individual activities became available to asylum seekers[1]. However, to do this, you will first have to go through the process of registering in the tax register and gaining access to your VMI account. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
- Alien Registration Card with Green Stripe
- Copy of passport
From the passport you need an identification number in the country of origin. However, there are often situations, when asylum seekers do not have a passport or its validity has expired. During a telephone consultation, the employee reported, that in this case it is possible without a passport, but difficulties may arise.
GET TAXPAYER CODE
You must contact VMI first., to register in the Register of Taxpayers (MMR). You can pre-register for a visit follow the link.
Upon arrival you will be asked to fill out form REG812 “Application of a natural person for registration in the Register of Taxpayers”. You can also find it follow the link.
However, we do not recommend filling it out yourself.. It is better to do this in the presence of an employee.
GET VMI ACCOUNT ACCESS MEANS
Since asylum seekers do not have the opportunity to join their account through external systems, then you need to get VMI funds. Simultaneously with filling out the registration form in the register, you need to apply for access to VMI information systems. You can also find it follow the link.
After this, your login and password will be sent to you by email for authorization.. Once logged into your account you will find your tax number under your name at the top right, and you will also be able to use all the functions offered by ManoVMI and other related services.
